Lesley Balding
Lesley established her property career in the Far East culminating with the sale of her Hong Kong based Estate Agency in 1996. With many expat clients to serve and with London Docklands starting to be developed Lesley returned to the UK in 1996 and established London Link Properties Limited. Her company is a local independent Estate Agency specialising in Sales, Letting, Property Management and providing Investment Opportunities for her global clients. Operating out of Limehouse, London Link has liaison offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Dubai which supports the management of a large portfolio of property throughout London for her international clients.
Lesley is very much involved with her local community and has received The Queen Mother’s Birthday Award for her environmental efforts. In the year 2000 Lesley organised an extensive clean up of the Limehouse Thames foreshore in conjunction with Thames21, which involve over 100 local resident volunteers and fund raising for the installation of read planting and wildlife habitat.
Lesley is also on the Director of two luxury residential developments in Limehouse, where she is able to offer the Board her property expertise to assist with major refurbishment and the smooth daily running and upkeep of these developments.
As a founder member of the Limehouse Community Forum and acting Deputy Chair is one of three that organise the Limehouse Festival. Lesley’s responsibility including heading up the fund raising & sponsorship, advertising, social media marketing, press liaison, website development. The festival reaches out to over 4,000 residents
The Limehouse Community Forum (LCF) is made up of representatives from estates, developments, organisations and businesses within the Limehouse area. By utilising this network they currently reach out and engage with the residents of the Limehouse Ward.
In January 2017 Lesley was honoured to receive the Freedom of The City in acknowledgement of her community engagement.
